Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch Up

Bobbi Brown, I’m getting a little obsessed with you. I keep waiting for a product I don’t love, a color that’s a little “off”, a consistency that makes me go “hmmm”. Nope… so far, I’m in lurve. The latest object of my affection is the Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch Up

Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadow

A new first in my PW career. I stalked a makeup artist from Bobbi Brown all the way back to her counter to ask her what she had on her eyes. So I could buy it immediately. Do I hang my head in shame? Nope, I hold it up proudly, because my eyelids now shine and glimmer with Sparkle Eye Shadow (in Pebble- but every shade is gorgeous, and wearable). Thanks, girl. And I promise, I won’t make this a habit. 😉

Diorshow Mascara

I was expecting nothing short of a Lash Miracle when I tried Diorshow Mascara, so praised and iconic is the legend.

Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara

Let me tell you about my new favorite person, Sabrina. She works at my local drug store, and the last time I was in, she casually pointed out that the Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara that I had in hand was Buy One, Get One Free. Thus began a very special relationship. it was like each individual lash took on a life of it’s own, in a good, not creepy, way. No clumps, bumps, or lumps. Mascara gets an A; Sabrina, an A+.

GinZing Brightening Mascara

PW Confession Time: Although I think Origins is an amazing company, and I use and love many, MANY of their products, I expected very little of their GinZing Brightening Mascara.

Bobbi Brown Everything Mascara

OK, so this legitimately happened: I asked the gal at the Bobbi Brown counter for a mascara that did “everything”- lengthening, thickening, conditioning, etc. She gave me a wink and a nod and said that she had just the thing, and it was “Everything”.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

This was the workhorse of lash curlers. They don’t sell this in the states anymore but you can get it on the Shu Uemura site, or several other sites.

Kevyn Aucoin – The Eyelash Curler

Curling my lashes is a must. Even if I don’t wear a stitch of makeup, curling makes me feel good. The red pad on it makes it easy to line up with the lash roots. Won’t take off your lashes. I am split down the middle between this one and the Shu Uemura curler, except the latter cannot be bought in the states. So for easy purchase, go with the Kevyn Aucoin.

Revlon Eyelash Curler

“I’m awake… No, really! I am!” OK, 9 times out of 10, this is a fib. Anyone with me? Anyone else use their little friend, the Eyelash Curler, to assist in this LWL (Little White Lie)? Personally, I save some dough on curlers- I’ve used Revlon’s for years and find it does the job just as well as it’s pricier (but oftentimes showier) cousins.

Maybelline Volum’ Express Falsies Big Eyes Washable Mascara

My favorite drug store find of this year!! I discovered the power of this mascara after a happy hour with friends turned into a long dinner, which turned into an after party…. well, I’m sure you can imagine the rest. Luckily, I remembered I had purchased this earlier in the week, not expecting much, but hoping for the best. After one application, I went from Hathaway in Les Mis (post -“I Dreamed a Dream”) to Minnelli in Cabaret. Freaking fabulous.
