The Excursionist

Alrighty, gals. We’ve hooked you up with all the odds and ends to make you look gorgeous for your perfect weekend away. But where are you going to stash all of your goodies?

Sephora Eyelash Curlers

I’ll admit it- I’m a sucker for bright, shiny, brightly colored accessories. So, when shopping for an affordable eyelash curler to take to Long Island for the weekend, my eyes immediately fell to this lovely one from the Sephora Collection.

Smashbox Brow Tech To Go

I don’t know about you ladies, but the last thing I want to be futzing with when I could be lying on a white sandy beach with a Mai Tai in my hand is my eyebrows. Other hand: Who wants to be seen on said white sandy beach with patchy, anorexic brows?

Dare I say my high maintenance days are over? (Hear me out…) The last time I traveled I only packed ONE concealer, instead of what i usually do, which is one for my undereye circles and one for my blemishes. YSL’s Anti Cernes Multi Action Concealer is a powerhouse that somehow manages to be creamy enough to look natural under the eyes and pigmented enough to cover imperfections on the face.

Argan Tinted Moisturizer (Josie Maran)

Josie Maran’s Argan Tinted Moisturizer is a travellin’ gal’s BFFL.

Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara

Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero Smudge Lengthening Mascara makes some lofty claims. Zero smudges? Well, this gal with the oily eyelids will always have a teeny bit o’ smudge.

Natural Mineral Foundation (Youngblood)

Best mineral all in one I have found for my troubled skin -coverage without caking; use a small brush to dab on to imperfections and them smooth over with large powder brush. $40 – changed my life.

RevitaLift Triple Power Eye Treatment

L’oreal Revitalift Triple Power Eye Treatment won’t change games. I was disappointed because I was SO TOTALLY SEDUCED by that fancy silver tip. It felt wonderful, and was totally hydrating, but these dark circles might need quadruple power. Absolutely no difference seen.

Angle Eye Shadow Brush (Bobbi Brown)

Bobbi Brown just gets it, and has created the PERFECT eye shadow brush. I just want to take this woman out for mimosas. You will too, when you use her Angle Eye Shadow Brush and see how beautifully it fits into every nook and cranny of the eye. Her products work WITH the face, and not against it. A must for any PW’s arsenal.

The Archer

Can I complain about a $12 tweezer that I can throw in my bag for last minute eyebrow emergencies? No, I cannot. Especially since I get my eyebrows threaded, so this cute little guy – “The Archer”, from Sephora, for the record- is a “just in case”. Never a bad idea, and it’s actually really precise for being so small.
