Rose Jam Shower Gel (LUSH)

Share/Bookmark

Ok, this shower gel smells amazing. It was not a cloying-type scent (I do think some of the Lush products can be a bit much to handle.) It’s just really rosy and sweet and yummy. It was also pretty moisturizing. Major con is that it’s limited addition and kinda pricey.

psssst! Instant Dry Shampoo

I’m a dry shampoo aficionado. And let’s be real- it’s not something that I’m going to spend the big bucks on. Imagine my delight when 1) I discovered psssst! Instant Dry Shampoo and 2) discovered it came in a formula for Curly/Wavy gals such as moi! Quelle Surprise!! It worked just as well as the original formula, and since it’s a spray formula, I used it to scrunch a bit. Apparently Argan Oil (hello, “IT” oil of the moment!) helps condition the curls. I’m a fan. Again.

Pureology Hydrate Shampoo

Pureology’s Hydrate Shampoo is the good, reliable guy you always come back to. Flashier versions may have popped up from time to time, but this one is so tried and true and dependable, that it makes sense to go back. Follow up with Hydrate Conditioner, and well, why ever stray again?

Trichomania

Trichomania from Lush is made from creamed coconut, which is great for the hair, and is simple to use, once you get the hang of it. Wet your head, then rub, lather, rinse. Much less scary than the camping. :/

Oribe Color Protecting Shampoo

Do you remember the moment when you resigned yourself that you’d be spending 30+ big ones for your haircare? Oh, and did I mention that’s just for ONE item? For me, that was when I purchased my first shampoo from Oribe- their Color Protecting Shampoo is pure silky yumminess- and keeps my hair from plummeting into brassy craziness.

Arrojo ReFINISH Dry Shampoo

The sweet, cotton candy smell of Mr. Arrojo’s dry shampoo alone is enough to get your butt up and over to the Keurig. And when you have less than 10 minutes to make your hair look more fabulous and less like it was steamrolled by the garbage trucks that you walked by on your way home, you can count on this spray to lift, texturize and add volume.

Curl Quencher® Moisturizing Shampoo

If curly haired girls had their own secret society, (and come on, we totally should) “Ouidad” would totally be one of our secret passwords. The salon, and the products, have been talked about and shared in coiled society for years now, and their moisture-rich, Curl Quencher Shampoo is a must when I’m wearing my hair in ringlets.

Pronto Dry Shampoo (Oscar Blandi)

This came highly recommended from one of the Sephora Sales Goddesses, and they have rarely, if ever, led me astray. Looking for something to keep my blowout going through a few days of travel, I made the decision within about 2.4 seconds flat to take her word that Oscar Blandi’s was THE dry shampoo, and off I ran.

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Conditioner

Most of the time I prefer going the natural route with my haircare, but sometimes I need ALL the silicone. Enter Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Conditioner, which will tame my rattiest of rat’s nests. Even better? Found it for $2.99 at the one, the only, Tar-jay.
