DevaCurl Light Defining Gel

Gals, may I suggest that once in a blue while, when on vacay, let that mane air dry. Your locks will thank you, and you will save precious pool/spa/mimosa/friend/significant other time. I’ve found your bestie to accomplish the task: DevaCurl Light Defining Gel.

ALTERNA Caviar Anti-Aging Working Hair Spray

You put the words “Anti Aging” in front of anything and you automatically have my attention. Alterna is already on my “hell yeah” list for their amazing Caviar Shampoo and Conditioner, so when I saw their travel size Anti Aging Working Hair Spray on the Sephora check out line, I grabbed it, hoping that it would hold my blow out in place for the next day or two.

Ouidad Double Detangler Comb

I’d been using the same crappy $3.99 Goody comb to work through my curls for years. Thankfully a friend told me about Ouidad Double Detangler Comb, and it has been one of my most beloved traveling companions ever since.

Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hair Spray

This is the best hairspray ever. I don’t really think there’s too much more to say. OK…you know me better than that. You get a great hold, but not too MUCH hold. Perfect for updos, or to eat up excess oils when you’re trying to hang on desperately to your blow out. All around fabulous, PW hall of fame-worthy.

Oribe Shine Light Reflecting Spray

Us Curly Haired Gals… we’ll just never have naturally perfect, shiny hair. And try as we might, it’s an uphill battle as we struggle with every product imaginable to obtain a sleek, healthy, light-reflecting look. Oribe Shine Light Reflecting Spray made my hair look kinda bling-y (!!!!), and also feel soft and manageable, thanks to an impressive amount of argan oil. This MAY have inspired a hair toss. 😉

Kerastase Root Uplifting Hair Gel

The Root Uplifting Hair Gel will make styling a breeze for any hair texture, for every style. The gel has so much lifting power you could rock a beehive, if you were so inclined. I just wanted a full, tousled look that would last all night, and this more than performed. Is it worth the money? I’m gonna have to go with yes on this one, PWs. Save your dough, it’s a worthy investment.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Root Booster Blow Dry Lotion

John Frieda really knows a gal. The price point is right, his products provide just the right amount of softening ingredients… and did I mention that the price is right?? The Luxurious Volume Root Booster Blow Dry Lotion is perfect for a blast of lift to set your ‘do with no stiffness.

Sally Hershberger Glam Waves Texture Spray

Sally Hershberger Glam Waves Texture Spray- you’re an oldie, but a goodie. Oh, and you’re available at my local drug store whenever I feel a little of my surfer girl chic coming on.

TRESemme Curl Definition Jelly for Flawless Curls

Creates shine and helps define curls. Cheap product which works better than others five times the price. Disclaimer: It has the worst dispenser ever, but still worth it because the product is so good. I get so frustrated trying to get it out, that I actually open it up and dump it all into an empty, clean jar (I do this with several bottles at a time) and then use it from the jar.

Oribe Soft Dry Conditioner Spray

As one who’s felt the intense relief of knowing my blowout would buy me 30 more minutes with my beloved snooze button, Oribe Soft Dry Conditioner Spray is a one of those heaven sent products. Not only does the beautiful scent eat up the sins of the night before (whiskey, the faint aroma of 4am disco fries), but you’ll get a nice shine and softness that won’t give your secrets away. Pair it with your favorite dry ‘poo, and hey- who needs sleep?? … or water?? KIDDING. 🙂
