Clinique’s High Definition Mascara

CONFESSION TIME: I bought Clinique’s High Definition Mascara based on a friend’s HIGH recommendation and used it for days incorrectly, meaning I was meant to use the comb to define and enhance my lashes.

Cubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm

Oh, the conundrum of the lip STICK. The moisturizing formulas keep the lips supple and smooth, but any hint of color is gone after your first Americano, and the formulas with a heavier concentration of color dry the hizzle out of your kisser. Clinique’s Chubby Stick (what a name…) Moisturizing Lip Balm strikes a fairly even balance, with a nice, creamy texture, and color that MIGHT get you through your second Starbucks run. (Mega Melon FTW!)

Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (Clinique)

I wish I could bathe in Moisture Surge from Clinique. A pledge to all of my dry-skinned sisters out there- you will not find a better product out there for this price to soothe and moisturize parched skin. Shall we all have our significant others draw the bath and dive in?? 😉

Line Smoothing Concealer

I’m sorry to say… Meh, Clinique, meh: Your Line Smoothing Concealer both failed to conceal (my dark circles) nor smooth my lines. What it DID do was feel uber heavy and look thick and mask-like under my eyes. Back to the drawing board for my most coveted product ever: the perfect concealer for dark circles. Do you have suggestions for me, PWs??

Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup

I think I’m one of those Product Whore Unicorns who actually WANTS oil in their makeup. I desire that dewy, glowy look at all times, even in the summer. That said, there are times you’d like your makeup to look incredibly pristine and budge-proof, and Clinique’s Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup is definitely good for that. The shade selection is vast, and it definitely stayed put for the day. Alas, I had to pile on the moisturizer to keep my skin from becoming parchment paper… I’ll just always be a dewy girl at heart, Clinique. 🙂
